Unilever, in collaboration with SCGC ‘Koomkah’, set a campaign to encourage members of Bang Buathong Waste Bank to collect and sell HDPE and multi-layers plastics, with the goal of achieving 6,000 kg of waste collection by the end of the campaign.
Strategy
To reach the localized audience we go back to on-the-ground and gorilla media such as roadside signboards and advertising trucks. Online media focus on utilizing messaging apps with messages that are easy to understand and a communication tone that is playful and relatable.
The supporting reward scheme attracts a lot of participation in local communities, with boost-up events on special days such as 18 March – Global Recycling Day.
